I have over 25 years of experience in the philanthropic sector—11 years at the Boston Foundation, a community foundation, and 16 years at the Arcus Foundation, a private foundation with a living donor. I have held a variety of positions including Vice President of the Social Justice Program, Senior Advisor, Director of Grantmaking Programs, Senior Program Officer for Health & Human Services. I have decades of experience in social justice philanthropy, with a focus on LGBTQ issues with an intersectional lens. I am the author of five published novels, short stories and essays. My peer reviewed paper on Crisis Philanthropy was published in the Foundation Review journal.
In 2019, I was honored to receive the Reed Erickson Award for Trainblazing Philanthropic Leadership by Funders for LGBTQ Issues.
I currently sit on the board of the Golden Crown Literary Association and am a past board member of SAGE, the national advocacy and services organization for LGBTQ+ elders. I am a member of Congregation Beit Simchat Torah.
I have a passion for writing and making meaning of information.
